Getting to know Mae Sa Valley

Nestled in the beautiful setting of the Mae Sa Valley, half an hour from Chiang Mai, the Mae Sa Valley Craft Village
offers a day-out with a difference featuring a whole range of interesting activities to fill the day.
Surrounded by one of Thailand's splendid botanical gardens with its own stream and tiny waterfall, The Craft
Village, is home to a group of highly-skilled artisans, potters, painters, batik artists and wood-carvers. On a
day-out, visitors can enjoy watching these artisans at work and also have the opportunity to acquire some of the
skills that have made northern Thai crafts famous throughout the world. Full-day and half-day sessions as well as
morning, afternoon, or evening sessions are available in a variety of interest areas namely - a Thai cookery school,
a health centre and the craft village itself.
The sessions are conducted by an English-speaking instructor and each lasts 2 1/2 hours. No prior experience is
needed.
