Tour Code: 1NHCF Camping in the Kaeng Krachan Forest (2 Days / 1 Night)

Explore the rich and diverse wildlife and flora of Kaeng Krachan, the largest national park in Thailand.
Enjoy birds watching and wildlife observation, fantastic views and experience camping in the jungle.

Day 1

Meet at 8.30am at the meeting point at the Tourist Information Center located at the edge of Kaeng

Krachan

lake. Briefing will be conducted in the morning with the exhibits. At 9.00am, depart for Ban-

Krang camp,

Pranburi basin (18km), one of the bird-watching and nature study heaven. Upon arrival

at about 10am, take an

easy trek along the Pranburi stream take the rest of the afternoon enjoy

nature’s beauty including birds

watching, flora observations. Lunch will be served in this peaceful

naturally setting habitat. Return to Ban-

Krang camp at 4pm. Dinner will be served at camp and enjoy

the rest of the evening at leisure, or why not drift

off to sleep to the sounds of the forest in your cozy

hammock.

Day 2

Wake up in the beautiful birdsong; enjoy breakfast and coffee before leaving for Phanoen Thung

camp (30km).

Upon arrival at Phanoen Thung camp enjoy the view over looking the Pranburi basin.

The morning is yours at

leisure to enjoy being out in the nature, lunch will be served. Depart at 1pm,

estimated arrival time back to

the Tourist Information Center is around 3pm.

Highlight: Trek in Kaeng Krachan, the largest national park in Thailand. Camp beside the waterfall, visit to the Elephant
Conservation Centre; a profusion of butterflies, and trek to a beautiful little-known waterfall.

Day 1 Hua Hin / Cha Am – Kaeng Krachan National Park

Leave for the southern area of Kaeng Krachan National Park, Hua Hin, Prajuab Keereekhan Province

at 7am.

Upon arrive at Huay Sad Yai, Wild Elephant Conservation Center. See the activities at the

center. At the nearby

market we stop to buy provisions for our trip –always a colourful experience.

Walk along the beautiful nature

trail by the stream and see many butterflies at the animal salt lick.

Lunch will be served at noon following a 3

½ hours trek up to the Pa La -U waterfall. Upon arrival set

up camp and help prepare dinner or take a swim in

the refreshing water of the falls. Dinner and relax

around the campfire before bed.

Day 2 Kaeng Krachan National Park - Hua Hin / Cha Am

Begin the morning with breakfast by the waterfall. After breakfast, pack up your bags and start the

return

journey. Break for lunch at noon and continue to trek back to the parking lot then transfer to

Hua Hin or Cha-

Am area. Estimated arrival time is 6pm

Leave Bangkok for Samutsongkram province.

Arrive at Tha-Ka Floating Market which is a very rural market and is only open 6 days a month

Day 2

07.00 a.m.

eakfast in the lodge, then leave to see and test the production of fresh palm juice at a

nearby

manufacturer. This is followed by a visit to the Rose Apple Gardens on the way to Kaeng

rachan Dam.

11.00 a.m.

Arrive at Kaeng Krachan Dam, take a boat around Kaeng Krachan Lake to the Petch River.

12.00 p.m. Enjoy a typical Thai lunch which has been pre-packed for you in lotus leaves.

2.00 p.m. Journey back to Bangkok.
