Staying in a villager’s home at the Tha Ka Floating Market is the best way to taste some great Thai
hospitality. Enjoy life with the hospitable folk of the region. You will have a great opportunity to learn
about the local cuisine and try your hand at making coconut sugar and other handicrafts, learning
from your host and the school children.

    Day 1 Bangkok – Tha Ka Village (L,D)
    Travel to Tha Ka village in the Samut Songkram province. Meet with the host villager at Tha Ka floating market.
    Spend the morning at the floating market to observe life and buy something to cook for your lunch and dinner.
    Overnight (home stay) with the host family.

    Day 2 Home Stay at local village (B,L,D)
    Early in the morning join the host to offer food to the monks who row a small boat along the canal to let
    people make merit. After breakfast, learn the whole process of processing coconut sugar and havea trial. A
    truly great experience. After lunch, enjoy life with the villagers, rowing a boat to visit neighboring gardens and
    the knife making home, boat making home and local temple etc. Dinner and overnight at host home.

    Day 3 Tha Ka Village - Bangkok (B)
    Breakfast and then travel to visit a local school in the village. Play with the kids, teach them English in a joyful
    atmosphere, and learn from the children how to make toys from coconut leaves for your own souvenir. Lunch
    with the children at the school. And afterwards say goodbye to your host, the children and the teachers as you
    return to Bangkok.

    Remarks:
    Accommodations at local homes have all basic amenities suited only for those who want to experience true
    Thai style living. Some family will vacate one of their family member’s bedrooms to give visitors some privacy
    but in mostcases thought a mattress, mosquito net and fan in the common sleeping quarters of the family is
    arranged. Bathrooms are usually equipped with a basin containing water from the canals which is poured over
    the body with a small bucket (cold water). Toilets are traditional squatting toilets.

    Please bring: Towel, soap, toothbrush, toilet paper, mosquito repellent, sun protection lotion, cap or hat, light
    cotton clothing, slippers and all personal items in a small backpack.

    Day 1 Bangkok to Kanchanaburi (L,D)
    Early morning pick up (6-6.30am) from major hotels in Bangkok. Upon arrival in Kanchanaburi at around 9am,
    visit to the Wat Musuem—Thailand & Burma Railway Centre, War Cemetery and the Bridge over the River Kwai.
    At noon, you are treated to a long - tailed boat ride from pier across to River Kwai Jungle Rafts (or the River
    Kwai Resotel). Passing by unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery. Upon arrival, check in at hotel and lunch will
    be served. Meet at 2.45pm to visit the nearby ethnic Mon Tribal Village, enjoy Elephant Ride through the
    bamboo forest or canoe along the beautiful scenic Kwai Noi River. Dinner is served at 5pm following a 45-
    minute presentation of Mon Dance. For your comfort and stay, overnight at River Kwai Jungle Rafts or the River
    Kwai Resotel.

    Day 2 River Kwai, Natural Healing & Aromatherapy - Thai Style (B,L,D)
    Breakfast is served at hotel following a relaxing Thai style solar bath and walking tour to a herbal and
    horticultural garden. Here, you will pick up fresh herbal plants for a Thai cooking course as well as herbs for
    your Herbal steam bath later on. Lunch is served at the resort following a Royal Thai Traditional Massage &
    Herbal Pad & Herbal Steam Bath. Dinner is served at 5pm.

    Day 3 Kanchanaburi - Bangkok (B,L)
    Breakfast is served at hotel and the morning is free at leisure to relax in the paradise surrounding. Feel free
    to explore any of the following activities: Bird Watching, Fishing, Jogging, Foot Massage and Herbal Steam
    Bath. Check out at 11.30am and depart for lunch at the pier. At 1pm, board the historic train Death Railway
    passing through lush forest. Depart Kanchanaburi at 2.20pm for Bangkok. Estimated arrival time in Bangkok is
    6pm.

    Proceed to Phu Towy Village, following a 45– minute trekking through bamboo forests, cliffs and enjoy a bird’s

    village.
    Later in the afternoon, check in at the River Kwai Jungle Rafts hotel and lunch will be served.
    Dinner is served at 5pm following a 45-minute presentation of Mon Dance. For your comfort and stay, overnight
    at River Kwai Jungle Rafts or the River Kwai Resotel.

    Day 2 River Kwai, Natural Healing & Aromatherapy - Thai Style (B,L,D)
    Breakfast is served at hotel following an hour of canoeing along the scenic River Kwai to Resotal. Check in on
    arrival at the River Kwai Resotel and lunch is served at the resort.
    Meet at 2.45pm for an exciting boat ride downstream to Resotel Pier and continue to visit the Hell Fire Pass
    Memorial. Dinner is served at 5pm.

    Day 3 Kanchanaburi - Bangkok (B,L)
    Breakfast is served at hotel. At 8am, your mountain biking tour begins with the jungle scenery of the National
    Park and local villages. Check out at 11.30am and depart for lunch at the pier.
    At 1pm, board the historic train Death Railway passing through lush forest.
    Depart Kanchanaburi at 2.20pm for Bangkok. Estimated arrival time in Bangkok is 6pm.

    Day 1 Bangkok - Kanchanaburi
    Morning depart from your hotel by coach to Kanchanaburi via Nakorn Pathom. Upon arrival at Kanchanaburi,
    visit the JEATH War Museum and learn more about the events of World War II. The museum is built and
    decorated in the style of the Allied PoW living quarters. Then we take a short trip to the War Cemetery where
    more than 6,000 where buried. After lunch, proceed on a train journey along the original Death Railway across
    the bridge and passing over a wooden viaduct section built along the mountain. At the terminal station,
    transfer to the pier for a boat ride to the River Kwai Jungle Raft. This unique hotel is built on large bamboo
    rafts floating on the River Kwai Noi. It has all the modern facilities except electricity. In the evening, you may
    want to watch a performance by the Mon people (Burmese minority group) or sit outside and gaze at stars.

    Day 2 Kanchanaburi
    After breakfast in the morning, proceed on a walking tour of the nearby Mon village, there is a village school,
    some small plantation and a waterfall. You may want to take this opportunity to take an elephant ride also.
    Later take a boat trip down river to the Kaeng Lawa Cave, an impressive limestone cave formed over thousands
    of years of precipitation and erosion. Climb up to the cave and walk through the fascinating formations of
    stalagmites and stalactites. Return to the Jungle Raft for lunch before departing for another historical site of
    World War II - the Hellfire Pass and Museum. This is one of the toughest section of the Death Railway where
    the prisoners have to work day and night to cut a passage through the mountain. A museum now stands to
    commemorate those who worked there and also to show the hardship that these PoWs had to endure. Dinner
    will be at the Jungle Raft and the evening is free.

    Day 3 Kanchanaburi - Bangkok
    After breakfast in the morning, you will have some free time to do some mountain biking, canoeing or just
    relax by the raft and watch the morning activities. Check-out in the late morning and proceed to Sai Yoke Yai
    Waterfall and National Park for a short stop. After lunch, begin your journey back to Bangkok.

    Day 1 Bangkok – Shangri-la Horizon River Cruise – Ayutthaya (L,D)
    Board the Shangrila Horizon River Cruise in the morning and begin a cruise up Chao Phyra River. As you travel
    the 85 kilometre distance between Bangkok and Ayutthaya, you will pass countless images of serenity and
    beauty all along the way. Long-tail boats, log-raft barges, temples, villages and other daily activities are
    common sights along the river. It is a captivating picture of traditional river life leading to the heart and soul
    of the ancient Kingdom. Lunch will be served on board before arriving at Bang-Pa In where you will visit the
    former Royal Summer Palace; an architectural fantasy encompassing four centuries of Thai and Western style,
    the Historical Park of Ayutthaya which was once the capital of Thailand. Then proceed to other major temples
    of present day Ayutthaya before going for dinner. A night tour of the Historical Park will show you a totally
    different atmosphere as the ruined attractions are all beautifully lit up with spot-lights. For your comfort and
    stay, overnight at Krung Sri River Hotel.

    Day 2 Ayutthaya – Kanchanaburi (B,L,D)
    Following breakfast, you will depart for your 2 hours journey to Kanchanaburi. Upon arrival at
    Kanchanaburi, visit the JEATH War Museum. The museum was built to resemble the Allied POW living quarters
    during World War II. Proceed towards to the War Cemetery where more than 6,000 were buried. After lunch,
    board a train journey along the original Death Railway across the bridge where the train will pass by a
    wooden viaduct section built along the mountain. At the terminal station, transfer to the pier for a boat ride to
    the River Kwai Jungle Raft. This unique hotel is built on large bamboo rafts floating on the River Kwai Noi. It

    Day 1 Bangkok to Ayutthaya (L,D)
    Proceed north to Ayutthaya – the ancient capital of Thailand for 417 years. The tour will take you to visit some
    of the beautifully preserved monuments around the city. Begin with the famous Wat Phra Si Sanphet following
    by a visit to one of the biggest bronze Buddha statues in Viharn Pramongokolbophit. Optional: elephant ride
    around the city. The tour will continue traveling northwards to Phitsanuloke where we will spend the night. In
    the evening, you may want to take a night tour (optional) of the city by similar or take a walk around the night
    market by the river. For your comfort and stay in Pitsanuloke, overnight at Amarin Lagoon Hotel for 2 nights

    Day 2 Ayutthaya – Sukhothai - Phitsanulok (B,L,D)
    After breakfast, proceed to Sukhothai – the first capital of the Thai Kingdom; now preserved as a World
    Heritage Historical Park. Visit to the Museum and Historical Park where you will have a quick understanding of
    the process that went into restoring the many ruins and monuments in the Park. Then proceed to see some of
    these impressive sights. After lunch, continue to Sri Satchanalai Historical Park. It was here that the celebrated
    ceramic wares – Sangkhlok were manufactured for both local use and export.
    This afternoon, you will visit some of the impressive ruins and monuments of the city, including the Kiln
    Museum before returning to Phitsanulok for overnight.

    Day 3 Phitsanulok - Bangkok (B,L)
    Following breakfast, depart from Phitsanulok for Bangkok. En-route, stop at Lopburi. This small town
    serves as a stopover for people traveling northwards from Ayutthaya. Here, you will visit Wat Pra Sam
    Yod a preserved monument from the Khemer period. The journey continues to Bangkok.

If you do not have a lot of time but wish to see the Ancient Kingdom of Thai, this would be a perfect mini package for you.

Sukhothai was the capital of the first Kingdom of Siam in the 13th and 14th centuries. It has a number of fine monuments,
illustrating the beginnings of Thai architecture. The great civilization which evolved in the Kingdom of Sukhothai absorbed
numerous influences and ancient local traditions; the rapid assimilation of all these elements forged what is known as the
'Sukhothai style'.

    Day 1 Bangkok to Sukhothai - by air (L)
    Transfer to domestic airport to depart for Sukhothai by PG600, arrive Sukhothai, visit Ram Kamhaeng Museum,
    then to Sukhothai Historical Park, check in at Pailyn Sukjhothai Hotel or similar for 2 nights.

    Day 2 Sukhothai (B,L)
    Breakfast is served at hotel following a tour to Sri Satchanalai historical Park, museum of Kiln where major
    pottery production was once very prosperous in this area and for export also, visit other attraction, then to
    Haad Seow town to visit Cloth Museum (A private Museum).

    Day 3 Sukthothai to Bangkok - by air (B)
    Breakfast is served at hotel, you will have the morning at leisure until your departure transfer to the airport for

Itinerary at a glance: Journey begins in the fruit orchards around Damnoern Saduak Floating Market, an area crisscrossed by
hundreds of canals and continues to scenic roads along the Gulf of Thailand
coastline. Journey continues from Hua Hin to the National Park of Khao Sam Roi Yod (Mountrain of 300 Peaks), close to the

    Depart Bangkok by van at 7am to Samut Songkram, Thailand’s smallest province. Cycling journey begins on
    village roads passing by temples, traditional Thai houses, coconut plantations and tropical fruit orchards
    heading towards Damnoern Saduak Floating Market. Here you will experience the traditional market life style
    by paddleboat. Continue cycling to a local restaurant along Mae Klong River for lunch following by a van pick
    up to Pranburi. In the late afternoon, kayak to the natural beauty of Pranburi Estuary and take time to enjoy the
    breeze and calm river on the kayak. Dinner will be served by the seashore and you can watch local fishermen
    bringing in their catch at the resort’s front beach pier.

    Day 2 Khao Sam Roi Yod Marine National Park (Ride 30-50 km) (B,L,D)
    After breakfast, ride on village roads along the Gulf of Thailand Coast passing by fishing villages, pineapple
    plantations and coconut orchards through the coastal park of Kaho Sam Roi Yod. After lunch, take a boat ride to
    Laem Sala Beach to visit the beautiful Phraya Nakorn Cave. Take a break at leisure on the beach to enjoy the
    scenic moment.

    Day 3 Pranburi – Bangkok (B,L)
    After breakfast, kayak along the Pranburi river passing by mangrove forests. Return to resort in time for lunch
    following by your transfer back to Bangkok. Estimated arrival time is 6pm.

    Day 1: Bangkok -  Damnoen Saduak Floating Market  - River Kwai
    Early morning pick up from Bangkok to the infamous Floating Market in Damnoensaduak. Glimpses of local
    lifestyle and colours of fruits and food during a canal tour. Late morning, continue westward toKanchanaburi
    (1.30 hours drive), Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Erawan National Park. Enjoy a nature walk,
    swimming and relaxing in its heavenly emerald-coloured pool at your own pace. Return toKanchanaburi town
    and proceed to Baan Chang Tamarind Woodland 4 kms from the Bridge on the River Kwai. Welcome drinks.
    Dinner at the town’s best seafood restaurant hidden on the river bank.

    Day 2: River Kwai
    Full day excursion out of the town -walking along the Death Railway remnant at the well known Hellfire Pass
    Memorial. Lunch at a local restaurant. Have a wonderful experience of elephant riding and then leisurely
    enjoy bamboo rafting and a train ride along the legendary River Kwai. Visit the Bridge & the war cemetery. Late
    afternoon learn to do Thai cooking with a local family (Tom Ka Gai - Chicken in coconut soup), stir fried minced
    pork with holy basil, fried bean sprouts with taufu and spicy long egg-plant salad). Dinner at home.

    Day 3: River Kwai - Bangkok
    Early wake up and go to a colourful local morning market to shop some fresh fruits & food, then food offering
    to the Buddhist monk at the market. Return to the house and then breakfast. Check out and proceed to the
    ancient capital of Ayuttaya on a nice cross-country road passing a huge rice plain, part of a so-called ‘Rice
    Bowl of Thailand’. After visiting the ancient palaces, Buddhist temples & ruins dating back 400 years ago,
    transfer back to Bangkok.

    Activities available in and around the house:
Horse riding course offered by the River Kwai Horse Riding camp (run by a half-Thai German lady) is
available next door to the house.
Swim at a hotel pool located 5 kms from the house (non-guest charge is applicable)
