7 Days / 6 Nights Thailand Cultural Overland

Day1 : Bangkok - River Kwai (L,D)
Morning depart from Bangkok for the world famour - River Kwai, en route we will stop at the Damnern
Saduak Floating Market to see how river market is conducted in Thailand, the tour continues to
Kanchanaburi (River Kwai). Upon arrival, board a train on the Historical railway passing by the viaduct.
Today's lunch will be served at a local restaurant then continue your visit to the Hell Fire Pass, War
Museum.
In the late afternoon, you will board a long tail boat to transfer to your Jungle Raft - a Thai style
accommodation that floats on bamboo raft. This evening overnight and relax at the serene surrounding
afloat River Kwai. Dinner is served at the resort.
Day2 : River Kwai - Ayuthaya - Uthai Thani (B,L,D)
Morning buffet breakfast will be served on your Jungle Raft resort following a boat trip back to the pier.
Your transfer will wait for you at the pier and begin your journey northward to the ancient city of Ayuthaya.
En route we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant following visit to Ayuthaya's Historical park, ancient
temples, then proceed to Uthai Thani - a province that is abundant in natural resources, such as forests
and wildlife. “Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Reserve” here was proclaimed a Natural World Heritage Site on 13
December 1991. The reserve has jungles, forests, plains, many streams, and most importantly, a number
of rare and endangered animals. Upon arrival in Uthai Thani, check in at the River Lake Resort, enjoy the
evening by the lake while dinner is served.
Day3 : Uthai Thani - Sukhothai (B,L,D)
Early every morning the saffron-swathed Buddhist monks walk from their temples with alms pots in their
hands. Their religion forbids them from asking for food, so the tradition is to buy a basket containing food
and fruit from a street vendor, and take off your shoes, kneel down and offer the basket to a passing
monk. For this he’ll bless you. Whatever your beliefs, this is an optional opportunity you will find a serene
and spiritually rewarding way to start a day. Following alms offering to monks, visit the morning fresh
market in town, enjoy a boat ride along the Saka Krang River to witness how locals live on Raft Houses,
return to River Lake Resort for breakfast, then check out and continue your journey northward for
Sukhothai. Upon arrival, check in at Ananda Museum Gallery Hotel. Afternoon tour around Sukhothai and
Sri Sat Chanalai Historical Park, dinner.
Day 4 : Sukhothai - Chiangrai (Excursions to Laos and Myanmar) (B,L,D)
American buffet breakfast is served at your hotel following a visit to the museum at Sri Satchanalai, then
proceed to the northern city of Chiangrai. En route, visit to Chiangsaen where you will take a boat ride
along the Mekong River, cross border to neighbouring country - Laos. In Laos, you will visit a local market
then return to Thailand to visit the Historical Opium ground of the Golden Triangle. Lunch will be served at
a local restaurant then walk across to Myanmar's Mae Sai border town. Stroll around the border town then
return to Chiangrai and check in at the deluxe Dusit Island Resort or The Legend the night. Evening dinner
is served at your resort.
Day 5 : Chiangrai - Chiangmai (B,L,D)
Following breakfast, check out from your resort and transfer to Chiangmai. En route you will stop a Hilltribe
villages to visit the famous long neck tribal. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Upon arrival in Chiangmai,
check in at the Royal Princess. Tonight enjoy a Lanna style- Kantoke Dinner with Thai dance performance.
Day06 : Chiangmai (B,L,D)
American buffet breakfast is served at your hotel. Today you are treated to a day's adventure at the
Elephant Camp. Beginning with elephant training performance then an elephant ride on the jungle trek.
Lunch will be served at the base following visit to the beautiful orchid farm, Doi Suthep Temple and dinner
Day7 : Chiangmai - Bangkok (B) or optional beach extension.
Breakfast at hotel following visit to the Home Industry to see how paper umbrella, creative painting is
manufactured. In the afternoon transfer to Chiangmai airport for flight to the capital city of Thailand -
Bangkok or other city. Service ends.
Optional Bangkok extension program, Beach Getaway, or visit Mae Hong Sorn are available.
